Hilton CBI - Raising extremely graphic or explicit content in reports

Hilton CBI - Raising extremely graphic or explicit content in reports

On very rare occasions you may come across raiseable social media content that can be considered extremely graphic or explicit. As the CBI cases often include applicants based in the Middle East, such content often includes sharing images or videos of regional conflict that include severe injury or death of soldiers, civilians or children.

In these cases, the client still requires us to include the uncensored screenshots of the content in the report. This means that no blurring, content filters or partial/total censorship is required. However, if required, we can add a content warning disclaimer to the relevant risk box in the Executive Summary of the report: Please note that the images captured in this report may be considered distressing or extremely graphic.

An example of how this would look in the report is shown below:

If you are unsure of whether a content warning should be added to the report, you can always ask a supervisor. Most importantly, if you are uncomfortable viewing or interacting with the content yourself then please get in touch with a supervisor who will be able to assist you with creating the report.
